Accreditation and Quality Assurance

CSUN and its Public Sector Management program are officially approved by the CSUN Faculty Senate, the CSU Chancellor's office and California Post Secondary Education Commissions (CPEC). Additionally, PSM, as an approved program in the University, is accredited by the Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council on Higher Education and Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

Program faculty are active participants in national professional organizations and at national conferences. The program also maintains an Advisory Council composed of senior CSUN faculty members who represent the key disciplines in the program. The Council works with PSM staff to provide primary academic oversight. Members of the Council also teach in the program and work together to oversee its curriculum, instruction, and academic standards.
