How to Apply
Online Masters Degree Program in Engineering Management
Thank you for your interest in our on-line Master's of Science degree in Engineering Management. We are now currently enrolling for Cohort 7 to start this fall 2008 semester.
In order to be admitted to the Online Masters Degree Program in Engineering Management, students must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, computer science, or a closely allied field from an accredited university or college.
- A GPA of 2.5 or above in the most recent 60 semester or 90 quarter units of instruction and a score at the 50th percentile or above on any of the three sections of the general GRE exam (verbal, quantitative or analytical)
- OR
- GRE is waived for an accumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Those who do not possess a bachelor's degree from a postsecondary institution where English is the principal language of instruction must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 550 on the paper exam or 213 on the computer-based exam is required.
Application Requirements
- Submit a Program Application
- Complete the Master of Science in Engineering Management Graduate Application for Admission
- Request two official transcripts in sealed envelopes from each college or university previously attended. (Official transcript request form)
- When you have received all transcripts, please send them in one packet with the $55 University application fee (payable to California State University, Northridge) to the address below:

Next Steps
After the necessary documents have been submitted, applicants can expect the following:
- ExL will contact admitted students regarding the following:
- Matriculation and payment of charges.
- Technical advice and assistance for online connectivity to the program
- The MSEM Department will inform students not accepted to the program.
- The MSEM Department will provide academic advisement to students accepted to the program.
