How to Apply

Online Masters Degree Program in Engineering Management

Thank you for your interest in our on-line Master's of Science degree in Engineering Management. We are now currently enrolling for Cohort 7 to start this fall 2008 semester.

In order to be admitted to the Online Masters Degree Program in Engineering Management, students must meet the following requirements:

Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, computer science, or a closely allied field from an accredited university or college.
  • A GPA of 2.5 or above in the most recent 60 semester or 90 quarter units of instruction and a score at the 50th percentile or above on any of the three sections of the general GRE exam (verbal, quantitative or analytical)
  • OR
  • GRE is waived for an accumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Those who do not possess a bachelor's degree from a postsecondary institution where English is the principal language of instruction must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 550 on the paper exam or 213 on the computer-based exam is required.

Application Requirements

  1. Submit a Program Application
  2. Complete the Master of Science in Engineering Management Graduate Application for Admission
  3. Request two official transcripts in sealed envelopes from each college or university previously attended. (Official transcript request form)
  4. When you have received all transcripts, please send them in one packet with the $55 University application fee (payable to California State University, Northridge) to the address below:

Next Steps
After the necessary documents have been submitted, applicants can expect the following:

  • ExL will contact admitted students regarding the following:
    • Matriculation and payment of charges.
    • Technical advice and assistance for online connectivity to the program
  • The MSEM Department will inform students not accepted to the program.
  • The MSEM Department will provide academic advisement to students accepted to the program.
