Financial Aid Services
The basic financial aid premise of Cal State Northridge is that the main responsibility for meeting college expenses lies with the student and the student's family. Assistance from Cal State University Northridge is intended to help students finance their educations when family and personal resources are not adequate to meet the total educational costs. Financial aid consists of scholarships and grants (non-repayable gift assistance), loans (which must be repaid), and part-time employment. The university makes every effort within its means to help students with limited financial resources secure the needed funds.
The direct Financial Aid counselor for all Distance Learning students is LaJuan Steels. LaJuan can be contacted via email at lajuan.r.steels@csun.edu calling 818-677-7523.
