Fieldwork
Practical application
is provided through the course ELPS 688A. Fieldwork, which is a
requirement for the master’s degree program and the California Preliminary Administrative Services Credential. It also provides you with many valuable
opportunities for professional and personal development. Fieldwork
is generally conducted at the school where you are employed or an
institution in your community. An administrator at the school site,
generally a principal or assistant principal, serves as the site
supervisor who monitors your progress and provides support and mentoring.
Students are responsible for securing their on-site supervisor.
A DL ELPS faculty member serves as your university advisor and is
responsible for presenting the required assignments and coordinating
communication between you and your site supervisor throughout the
semester.
