Robert
Kladifko, Ed.D. received his doctorate
from Claremont Graduate University. He earned his B.A. from St.
Cloud State University in Minnesota and his M.A. from CSU, Los
Angeles. He joined the ELPS department as an assistant professor
in 2002. Prior to coming to CSUN, he taught graduate courses in
educational leadership at Azusa Pacific University. His specialties
include school safety and security, small school learning centers,
the high school principalship, and California educational legislation.
Dr.
Kladifko has 40 years experience working for the Los Angeles Unified
School District as a teacher and administrator at the school site
and district levels. He also served two terms as an elected member
of the Arcadia Unified School District Board of Education. A past
vice-president for the Association of California School Administrators,
Dr. Kladifko has received numerous awards for outstanding service
to his community and students in California.
Called
upon as a media expert on school safety, Dr. Kladifko has made
presentations for Australian, German and Swedish television and
has appeared on the Phil Donahue Show, The Leeza Show, and Good
Morning America. He has also been featured in articles for the
LA Daily News, LA Times, the Christian Science Monitor, and the
US News and World Report.
