Activity Description

In this tutorial, students will learn about the major issues surrounding Assistive Technology for communication. Needs of clients with communication limitations will be discussed, as well as options for assistive and augmentative devices for communication. Coursework includes multimedia lecture and interactive exercises.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the major Issues surrounding Assistive Technology for communication
  • Discuss the major Needs surrounding Assistive Technology for communication disabled individuals
  • Discuss the major Options available in Assistive Technology for communication disabled individuals

Agenda

This course has 6 modules, all containing multimedia presentations with activities and a module assessment. All assessments must be passed at the 80% criterion level.
