Mandatory Computer Specifications

To participate in the online courses you will need a computer with the following specifications:

Minimum Hardware Requirements Minimum Pentium IV - 2.0 GHz Minimum 1 GB RAM for Windows XP Minimum 2 GB RAM for Windows Vista 128 MB of graphics memory for Vista Home Premium/Business/Ultimate 16-bit sound card with good quality speakers DVD-ROM drive with 4x minimum (16x recommended) Document Scanner (with compatible software able to save to PDF, GIF, or JPEG format) Headphones with a built in microphone Accessible USB ports to plug in USB flash drives, webcams, microphones, etc. USB or Firewire Web Camera (Logitech recommended)

• Internet access from a reliable ISP with live technical support and a high-speed connection, such as DSL or Cable
• A reliable personal e-mail account

Software Requirements

1. Microsoft Windows XP or Vista operating system
2. Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007
3. Reliable and current antivirus protection (e.g. Norton Antivirus, McAffee)
